Chris Bedding
Chris Bedding has a rare gift for engaging audiences from all walks of life through warmth, humour and powerful storytelling.
Having established programs that build meaningful connections across diverse communities, he draws on more than 20 years of leadership in community, advocacy, trade union and educational settings.
A graduate of the National Progress Fellowship, Chris is a community organiser and social changemaker. As an Anglican worker priest, he founded Australia’s first trade union for Faith Workers.
He is also an award‑winning comedian, actor and improviser, and an experienced media commentator and regular guest on ABC Radio.
Working for justice and peace is a key part of Chris’ identity. He’s been actively involved in the struggle for refugee rights and heavily involved in LGBTIQA+ advocacy, including the Yes campaign during the marriage equality postal survey. He is currently working on the campaign to end LGBTIQA+ conversion practices in WA.
Chris has been involved in interfaith dialogue for many years, including work alongside people of many faiths to advocate for a just peace in Palestine and Israel.
Having established programs to build connections between people of diverse age, culture and religion, Chris’s gift is in truly engaging audiences from all walks of life.
