People from non‑dominant cultures are often required to navigate two worlds at once, adjusting how they speak, dress and behave to fit expectations at school, work and in public life.
This engaging keynote explores who is most likely to code‑switch and why, and the impact this constant adaptation and often invisible labour has on identity, wellbeing and opportunity.
This presentation also invites reflection on how workplaces and institutions can shift the burden of code-switching by creating more inclusive environments where difference is accommodated, not managed, and people are able to show up as themselves.
